Grangemockler / Ninemilehouse
The villages of Grangemockler and Ninemilehouse are nestled in the beautiful south Tipperary foothills of Slievenamon. On this web page we hope to inform visitors of local attractions and upcoming events and help our natives keep in touch with all of the local news.
Ninemilehouse (Irish: Tigh na Naoi Mile) is a village on the N76 which is almost equidistant from the towns of Clonmel and Kilkenny on a pass through the eastern foothills of Slievenamon. Historically, Ninemilehouse was called Killcullen or locally it is said it was called Hollywood. It sits almost on the border between Tipperary county and Kilkenny county.
Controversially Grangemockler does not exist on the map of Ireland! Some locals are contemplating starting a campaign to remedy this oversight. Alternatively this website might just "put Grangemockler on the map" (does that sound like a slogan...)
